Daria Blackwell

My specialty is cultural competence in healthcare delivery and communications. I focus specifically on three aspects: 1) genetic and environmental factors that affect disease presentation and response to therapeutics, 2) cultural and social factors that influence acceptance of Western medicine and delivery of appropriate care, and 3) disparities in delivery of healthcare to different subgroups.

Past-President of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) Global and HBA Europe, and named the 2011 HBA STAR. HBA represents more than 6500 members and 140 corporate partners worldwide. Founder HBA Europe and HBA Ireland.

Professional experience spans multiple therapeutic categories as well as disciplines ranging from direct-to-patient (DTP) communications and direct-to-consumer advertising (DTCA) to healthcare practitioner communications and medical education. Past leadership roles include President of Bozell Global Healthcare, President and CEO of Knowledge Clinic Inc, and Managing Partner Sudler & Hennessey.

On retirement, sailed across the Atlantic Ocean three times with husband and cat, and have begun a new career as an author of numerous articles published in sailing magazines on both sides of the Atlantic, non-fiction and fiction books, short stories and poetry.
